The Day the Questions End – Revelation 10:7

Revelation 10:7

But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

There is coming a day when the ache of not knowing will finally be over.

John was writing to people who were watching the world come apart. They were not dealing with small inconveniences. They were seeing persecution up close. Families were shattered. Believers were hunted. Pain was not theoretical to them. It was personal. And into that kind of darkness, the Lord gives this word. The mystery of God should be finished.

That does not mean God has been absent. It means His purposes, which so often seem hidden now, will one day be brought to completion. What feels unfinished to us is not forgotten by Him. What feels delayed is not abandoned. The Lord has never misplaced a single tear, never ignored a single prayer, never lost track of one wounded saint.

We live in the tension of that mystery. We ask why evil seems to breathe so freely. We wonder why the wicked appear to prosper while the faithful suffer. We pray and wait and sometimes hear only silence. But silence is not indifference. Delay is not denial. There is a day appointed when the seventh angel will sound, and all that God has promised through His servants the prophets will be brought to its appointed end.

Think about that. Every question that now hangs in the air will one day fall at the feet of Jesus. Every injustice will be answered. Every sorrow will be dealt with. Everything crooked will be made straight in His time.

That is what John is handing to suffering believers. Not a shallow comfort. Not a polite religious slogan. He is saying that history is moving somewhere. Pain does not get the last word. Violence does not get the last word. Rome did not get the last word. The beast will not get the last word. Jesus Christ will.

And that steadies the heart.

Because when you do not understand what God is doing, you can still know where He is going. He is going toward completion. He is going toward fulfillment. He is going toward the day when mystery gives way to clarity and faith gives way to sight.

Beloved, some of us are carrying questions we have had for years. Some are grieving losses that still do not make sense. Some are watching darkness do damage and wondering how long, O Lord. Revelation 10:7 reminds us that the answer is not never. The answer is not forgotten. The answer is there is coming a day.

A real day.

A heaven marked day.

And when it comes, all the pain you could not explain and all the tears you could not stop will be gathered into the wisdom of God. You will see that He was faithful all along.
