You Can Stand – Ephesians 6:12–13

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities… against powers…

Principalities speak of regions. Powers speak of bondage.

In Luke 13:11, a woman was bent over for eighteen years.

…and could in no wise lift up herself.

Jesus did not simply adjust her posture. He broke what held her. When He declared her loosed, she stood upright.

If we see only behavior, we will argue. If we see bondage, we will pray.

Ephesians 6:12

…against the rulers of the darkness of this world…

Darkness presses into cultures. It influences systems. It clouds leadership.

When headlines confuse you, remember there is more at work than personalities.

Ephesians 6:12

…against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Mysticism promises light without the Lord. Enlightenment without repentance.

But the lie has not changed since Genesis 3:4–5:

Ye shall not surely die…
Ye shall be as gods…

It glows softly. It binds tightly.

Ephesians 6:13

Take unto you the whole armour of God… that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

The goal is not escape. It is endurance.

Picture a lighthouse on a jagged shoreline. The storm does not bypass it. Waves crash. Wind howls. Darkness surrounds.

But it stands.

Not because the storm is weak.
But because the foundation is strong.

The evil day will come.

Put on the armor.

Stand.
