Colossians 2:6
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.
Paul makes it beautifully simple.
The way you began is the way you continue.
How did you receive Christ?
Not through complexity.
Not through advanced insight.
Not through secret knowledge.
You received Him by faith.
Humbly.
Simply.
Trustingly.
Paul says, walk the same way.
The Christian life does not progress by leaving simplicity behind. It deepens by staying rooted in it. The danger in Colosse was the temptation to move beyond Christ, to add layers, to complicate what began so plainly.
But growth is not addition.
It is continuation.
There are rivers whose banks are lined with something called near quicksand. It looks stable. It feels firm. If you keep moving, you are fine. But the moment you stop, the ground gives way. Stand still long enough and you begin to sink.
The Christian life is like that.
If you stop walking in trust, you begin to sink into doubt. If you stop walking in obedience, you drift into compromise. If you stop walking in simplicity, you become vulnerable to deception.
The answer is not to search for something deeper.
The answer is to keep walking.
Walk in light.
Walk in love.
Walk in wisdom.
Walk in Him.
The same faith that saved you sustains you.
The same Christ who redeemed you matures you.
Do not complicate what God made clear.
You began by trusting Christ.
Keep trusting.
And keep walking.
