Genesis 41:56, 57
And the famine was over all the face of the earth: and Joseph opened all the storehouses, and sold unto the Egyptians; and the famine waxed sore in the land of Egypt. And all countries came into Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn; because that the famine was so sore in all lands.
The famine did not ease up. It grew worse.
And when it did, Joseph opened the storehouses.
I like that. He did not hold back. He did not ration grace in tiny portions. He opened what had been prepared. And when he did, people came. Not just from Egypt. From everywhere.
All countries came to Joseph.
That is a powerful picture.
Because when the world gets desperate enough, people start looking for real answers. And in the Tribulation, that is exactly what will happen. The pressure, the fear, the shaking of everything people trusted in will drive them to search for truth.
And there will be a turning.
The greatest revival this world has ever seen will take place in that time. People who once ignored the truth will remember. Words they brushed off will come back. Scriptures they heard years earlier will rise up in their minds. Conversations they once dismissed will suddenly matter.
And in that moment of famine in the soul, they will realize something:
The answer is not Pharaoh.
The answer is not the system.
The answer is not the world.
The answer is Jesus.
Just like all countries came to Joseph, people will come to Christ.
And I think about this. The witness given now does not disappear later. The conversations you have, the Scriptures you share, the truth you stand on, the seeds you plant, they do not vanish. They sit there. And when the famine comes, those seeds begin to break open.
Someone will remember what you said.
Someone will recall that verse.
Someone will think back to that moment when truth brushed against their heart.
And in that moment, they will run to the greater than Joseph.
That is why this matters right now.
We are not just living for today. We are planting for a time we may never personally see. We are speaking into lives that may not respond immediately. But when the famine grows severe, the Spirit of God will use what was sown.
Joseph opened the storehouses, and people came.
Jesus stands ready, and people will come.
Because when the famine is deep enough, nothing else satisfies. And the only place left to go is to the One who has the Bread of Life.
Beloved, that gives weight to everything we do.
A word spoken in faith matters.
A Scripture shared matters.
A life lived for Christ matters.
Because one day, in a moment of deep need, someone will remember.
And they will not run to Pharaoh.
They will run to Jesus.
